PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a thermal transfer printer and the thermal transfer printer installed with a program executing the control method of the thermal transfer printer.SOLUTION: This invention is achieved through such processes that a thermal transfer printer preheats a heater provided in the thermal transfer printer with application of a power source, and displays a work execution mode page on a display part provided in the thermal transfer printer. With this configuration, the convenience of an operator in the thermal transfer printing work can be significantly improved and uniformity and accuracy of the printing quality can be secured. Also, the occurrence of waste products, work accidents and the like due to the erroneous operation of the thermal transfer printer can be previously prevented by previously grasping state information of the thermal transfer printer and performing relevant control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
