PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a neutron beam shielding structure capable of shielding neutron beams from a beam source with a small-scale structure and reducing the thickness of a concrete wall for neutron beam shield; a local shield; and a neutron beam shielding method.SOLUTION: A neutron beam shielding structure is a shielding structure for shielding neutron beams from a beam source 20 by a local shield 31. The local shield 31 is formed of a material capable of absorbing neutron beams, has a cone or frustum outer shape, and is disposed in an attitude in which the local shield is splayed out toward the traveling direction of particle beams. The local shield 31 is arranged in front of the beam source (in the traveling direction) as viewed in the traveling direction of particle beams.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
