PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toxicity evaluation method and a toxicity evaluation kit for implementing the toxicity evaluation method that are applicable to not only a peripheral blood cell but also a bone marrow cell, enable measurement of not only a ratio of a micronucleus polychromatophilic erythrocyte count, but also a ratio of the polychromatophilic erythrocyte to a total erythrocyte count, enable image data to be saved, and further have accuracy equal to or more than that of measurement by a visual observation.SOLUTION: An evaluation method for genetic toxicity and bone marrow toxicity with respect to a bone marrow cell or a peripheral blood cell, and a genetic toxicity or bone marrow toxicity evaluation reagent kit for use in the evaluation method include: recognizing all cells with visible light in one field of view; acquiring a fluorescent image by radiating a wavelength detecting a nucleus of a cell, and cytoplasm of a polychromatophilic erythrocyte count; and identifying a total erythrocyte count, a polychromatophilic erythrocyte count, and a micronucleus polychromatophilic erythrocyte count from three images acquired in the above.
