A FPGA hardware design for Biometrics Image compression using wavelets to reduce the hardware requirement and increase the speed of operations wherein the working is carried out in three steps; First step Input source biometrics image is read, or any image which requires lossless compression is taken as input source image. Then in second step using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) the given image is compressed through MATLAB software program. Then in third step we will again use ISE design suit to dump the compressed image into FPGA device which we need to select while simulation process. Following invention is described in detail with the help of Figure 1 of sheet 1 showing scheme for VLSI architecture of biometric image compression using wavelet.
