The present invention relates to a system to test a tracer specialized for bedrock in an unsaturated zone, where underground water moves only through a fault or a fracture and a method thereof. According to the present invention, in the system to test a tracer for bedrock in an unsaturated zone, a dual packer is inserted into an injection hole excavated in the bedrock in the unsaturated zone to define a tracer test section. According to the present invention, injection equipment comprises: an injection pipe; an injection pump; a flowmeter; and a pressure gauge. The packers are distanced from the injection hole by a certain distance to be inserted into a monitoring hole excavated on the bedrock in the unsaturated zone, thereby defining sections of the bedrock of the unsaturated zone. Water level/water quality measuring sensors are placed in the space between the packers inserted into the monitoring hole. A control unit controls the injection equipment to inject clear water, controls the injection equipment to inject a tracer solution manufactured by dissolving the tracer in the clear water by the same injection pressure and the same injection flux as those for the injection of the clear water, and then controls the injection equipment to inject the clear water again. A monitoring unit is respectively connected to each of the water level/water quality measuring sensors to, in real time, monitor changes in the water level and concentration of the tracer in all sections from the injection of the clear water before injecting the tracer solution to the monitoring hole.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
