To provide a package comprised of a packaging container storing fruit and vegetables including cabbage, and which achieves both inhibition of browning and prevention of malodor of the fruit and vegetables including cabbage, for a long time and at a high level exceeding the limits of prior art, and thus has an excellent freshness retaining function for the fruit and vegetables.SOLUTION: A package is comprised of a packaging container provided with polymeric film and storing fruit and vegetables including cabbage, and its internal carbon dioxide concentration is 20 volume% to 50 volume%, whereas its internal oxygen concentration is 0.10 volume% or higher, after preservation for 120 hours under a condition of 10°C after sealing the package.SELECTED DRAWING: None
