PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object person existence range estimation device and object person existence range estimation method capable of suppressing cost increase and reducing throughput.SOLUTION: An object person existence range estimation device comprises: a height detection part 21 for detecting height of eyes of an object person in an image imaged by a monocular camera 10; an interocular distance detection part 22 for detecting inner medial angle width L of the object person in the same image; a position division determination part 23 for determining a corresponding position division from plural position divisions which are divided in the height direction of the object person in advance, based on the height of eyes detected by the height detection part 21; a distance division determination part 24 for determining a corresponding distance division from plural distance divisions which are divided in a depth direction being a face side direction of the object person from the monocular camera 10, in advance, based on the size detected by the interocular distance detection part 22; and an estimation part 25 for estimating an existence area of the face of the object person, based on the determined position division, and distance division determined by the distance division determination part 24.
