Micrografts and methods of use for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms

A device that occludes a patient's vasculature includes a micrograft having an absorbent polymer structure with a lumen that carries blood. The micrograft has a series of peaks and valleys formed by crimping. The occlusion device is sufficiently small in diameter and soft to be tracked along and / or pushed through the microcatheter over the guidewire to a site within the patient's vasculature. A delivery system for delivering the micrograft is also disclosed.
