The invention relates to a composition for storage and development of eggsfrom helminthic parasites, where the composition further comprises a liquidcarrier having a pH value of below 7 at a temperature of from 1~C to ambienttemperature. The liquid carrier can be sulphuric acid, H2SO4 with a pH in therange of from O to 2, and antibiotics can be added. The invention furtherrelates to a method for treating, ame- liorating, prophylactic or curative, anautoimmune or allergic disease in an individual, animal or man, using eggsbeing separated from the composition. The present in- vention also relates tomethods for isolation, embryonation and preservation of eggs of helminthicparasite, and to a method for producing a pharmaceutical compositioncomprising a helminthic parasite preparation. The helminthic parasite eggs maybe from the pig whipworm; Trichuris suis ova (TSO).
