Disclosed are a method for constructing a whitlockite coating on the surface of a calcium phosphate-based bioceramic substrate and a resulting coating, the preparation method comprising the following steps: first preparing pure calcium phosphate-based bioceramic power, and then pre-firing, shaping and calcining the pure calcium phosphate-based bioceramic power to obtain a calcium phosphate-based bioceramic substrate, placing same in a solution containing Mg2+, then transferring same to a high-temperature high-pressure reaction kettle for a hydrothermal reaction, and then cleaning and drying same to obtain a whitlockite coating.
