The present invention relates to a composition containing translationally controlled tumour protein (TCTP) as an active ingredient for preventing aging of oocytes or improving fertility. The protein can be usefully used for preventing or treating infertility (subfertility) through improvement on quality of eggs and can be used as a culture liquid additive used during the in vitro fertilization.
