The present disclosure provides a method for managing a game contest performed by a server including a receiver and a processor. According to an exemplary embodiment, the game contest management method includes a step in which general teams of general-team competition participating users having a predetermined team member limit are converted after general-team competition completion and by a processor into help-team in which members can be added to over the team member limit of the general team by invitation, a step in which the processor gives invitation identification information to each of the general-team competition participating users, a step in which a receiving unit receives a help-team competition participation request from a second user not participating in the general-team competition including the invitation identification information given to a first user among the users participating in the general-team competition, and a step in which the processor adds the second user as a member of the help-team to which the first user belongs.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
