PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eye examination device, a driving method of the eye examination device, and a head-mounted display capable of preventing an increase in the size of the device and an increase in cost, and capable of allowing both eye tracking and user authentication to be executed by a single image sensor.;SOLUTION: An eye examination device 50 includes: a first light source 51 which irradiates an eye EB being a subject with an infrared light LNIR of an infrared band in a predetermined range in a first operation mode; a second light source 52 which irradiates an eye being a subject with a visible light LVB in a visible band in a predetermined range in a second operation mode; and an image sensor 53 in which a pixel for performing photoelectric conversion is disposed, and which can detect a reflected infrared light LRLIN irradiated by the first light source and reflected by the eye, and a reflected visible light LRVB irradiated by the second light source and reflected by the eye.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
