PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruder vent box capable of collecting volatile substance gases generated during melting and kneading of plastic materials, leading a condensate based on the gas to an exhaust hole for exhaust, and allowing easy maintenance.;SOLUTION: A vent box 10 of the extruder includes: a wall 11 forming a side surface; a top 13 forming an upper surface and provided with a viewing window; a vent metal object 15 forming a bottom surface and provided with a side wall 15a forming an annular groove 16 inside an inner circumferential surface of the wall 11; an exhaust hole 17 opened on the inner circumferential surface of the wall 11; a gas collection umbrella 20 provided with an umbrella surface portion which gradually expands in diameter from an upper opening opposed to the top 13 and extends to a lower opening; and umbrella mounting means 35 for fixing the gas collection umbrella 20 to the wall 11. The gas collection umbrella 20 is arranged so that the condensate generated in the vent box 10 falls into the annular groove 16 via the umbrella surface portion.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
