To provide a solid writing body having sufficient strength even it is non-burned solid writing body, providing smooth writing feeling during writing, easily being laminated o handwriting written previously, and excellent in wet-on-wet coating property.SOLUTION: There is provided a solid writing body containing a coloring material, an excipient, a filler, a binder resin and polypropylene having weight average molecular weight of 200,000 or less, and having content of the polypropylene of 5 mass% or less in all mass. Further the coloring material is a thermochromic pigment and the solid writing body has a friction member.
