To provide a status inference system for inferring a status in the same space from sensing information obtained from a plurality of object users in the same space in the same period, and a status inference method.SOLUTION: Above problems are solved by a status inference system including: a plurality of sensing means for acquiring sensing information from each of a plurality of objective users in the same space during the same period; inference processing means for inferring a status in the same space from the sensing information obtained from the sensing means based on a model in which status information representing a status in the same space and sensing information inferred to be obtained from the sensing means when the status occurs are associated; and notification means for notifying of inference results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
