Head-mounted display for virtual reality and mixed reality with inside-out position, user body and environment tracking

A head mounted display system is disclosed along with precise and automatic inside-out position for virtual or mixed reality, user body, and related techniques for performing environmental tracking. The system uses computer vision and data fusion from multiple sensors to provide real time tracking. By performing part of the processing in the HMD itself, high frame rates and low latency are realized.
