PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support method which can reduce a sense of incongruity of an occupant toward a behavior of a vehicle.;SOLUTION: A driving support method includes the steps of: detecting a target vehicle which is traveling ahead of an own vehicle and on an adjacent lane which is adjacent to a traveling lane on which the own vehicle is traveling; detecting an intention of the target vehicle to make a lane change to the traveling lane; determining a reaction behavior to the lane change on the basis of determination criteria; controlling the own vehicle so as to execute the reaction behavior; detecting a sense of incongruity of a user of the own vehicle toward the reaction behavior of the vehicle; and adjusting the determination criteria if a sense of incongruity is detected.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
