PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candidate word evaluation device, a candidate word evaluation system, a program, and a candidate word evaluation method that can extract candidate words similar to an input word.SOLUTION: A candidate word evaluation server 1 comprises: an additional word acquisition part 12a which extracts a plurality of words including a retrieval word 35 from a text DB 4 to acquire a plurality of additional words 36 excluding the retrieval word 35 from the plurality of words respectively together with addition positions of the additional words 36; and a substitute candidate word acquisition part 12b which extract a word having one acquired additional word 36 at an addition position and excluding the retrieval word 35 from the text DB 4 to acquire a substitute candidate word 37 excluding the additional word 36 from the extracted word. The substitute candidate word acquisition part 12b performs processing on all additional words 36 acquired by the additional word acquisition part 12a, and the candidate word evaluation server comprises a substitute score calculation part 12c which calculates a substitute score showing similarity by the additional word 36 from the ratio of the total number of acquired additional words and the number of extracted substitute candidate words 37 as a result of the processing on all the additional words 36 by the substitute candidate word acquisition part 12b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
