molecularly imprinted polymer, kit, methods for preparing a molecularly imprinted polymer, to determine if a tobacco product contains nitrosamines, to quantify the amount of nitrosamines in a tobacco product, to treat a tobacco product to reduce the level of a target component therein and for manufacturing a tobacco material, smoking article, and smoking filter a class of molecularly printed polymers that specifically recognizes and binds tnas, is useful, for example, in the analysis and separation of tnas from biological fluids. Such polymers are also useful in methods of treating and manufacturing tobacco products and materials.
