摘要

The present invention relates to paclitaxel production by semisynthesis (from the foliage of Taxus trees) and by cell cultures. The cell cultures supply the growing market for pharmaceutical, research, and development of taxanes. Also, it presents low productions of up to 10 mg/L in an intracellular way making the subsequent purification processes more expensive. The present invention discloses an improved production process of taxanes, specifically paclitaxel and bacatine III extracellularly, through suspension cultures of Taxus globose S. under particular conditions. The said conditions allows achieving up to four logarithmic cycles of growth and yields of up to 48 mg/L and 168 mg/L of paclitaxel and bacatine III respectively, exceeding previous reports using Taxus globose S.
