Devices currently exist for detecting states of apnoea, which aim to provide an audio or visual alert when a newborn's breathing has stopped for a prolonged period. The disadvantages of these devices are that they only provide an alert about the event and do not have automatic action mechanisms to bring the user out of said state. In addition to the above, the method currently carried out when the device provides an alert to the apnoea state in the newborn consists in intervening by moving the newborn until he or she reacts, which involves temperature changes in the incubator or nursery which affect the baby, modification of the hygiene of the environment in which the newborn is located and consequently elevation in his or her stress levels. The present invention allows said complications to be avoided, being an integral, automatic-action device for therapy during a neonatal apnoea crisis, which promotes the reduction of stress levels in the newborn. In addition to the above, the system offers the ability to transmit the heart sounds and voice of the mother, father or staff responsible for the baby. This is achieved by means of a device which the emitter wears around the chest and which acquires and transmits the voice and heart sounds continuously and/or wirelessly to the baby's cot.
