Millfield Wave & Tidewater Converters Wave and tidal energy systems mounted on a rocker arm that can rotate horizontally and vertically, making the concept's movements almost fish-like. The Wave & Tidal system consists of a float whose buoyancy is predetermined. The float is designed as a symmetrical or asymmetric airplane profile, where the horizontal rotation of the rocker arm is obtained by changing the direction of the blade profile setting angle (blade setting), relative to the relative wave or ocean current direction. From the movements of the rocker arm, the energy is transferred from the sea or rivers (with known technique) via power-take * off to the load-bearing structure where it is reacted, e.g. for pumping water or hydraulic pressure for electricity generation. Will be adaptable to on-shore, near-shore or off-shore locations. Millfield Wind Converter The concept can be carried out as a wind power plant. The float profile of the rocker arm is then replaced by a fly-wing profile mounted on the rocker arm, which will typically be longer. Other functions are unchanged. In addition to electricity production, the wind power plant will also be suitable for pumping drinking water from wells in developing countries and act as an unconventional advertising space.
