The present invention relates to a composition for liver function amelioration and liver function damage prevention or treatment comprising a Rhus vernicifula extract and a Eucommia ulmoides extract. The Rhus vernicifula extract and the Eucommia ulmoides extract have a significant protective effect against CCl_4, a toxic stress in hepatocytes.
