Disclosed are a method for detecting a craving state for a game based on electrooculogram for enabling to determine an addiction of a game using electrooculogram and an apparatus thereof. The method for detecting a craving state for a game using the electrooculogram comprises the steps of: receiving an electrooculogram measurement value of a recipient watching a game; calculating a characteristic value for detecting the craving state based on the electrooculogram measurement value; and determining the craving state for a game of the recipient. The characteristic value includes at least one value among a value of a blink frequency and a horizontal motion of an eyeball, a value of a vertical motion of an eyeball and a value showing a correlation degree of a horizontal electrooculogram and a vertical electrooculogram.
