The present invention relates to a workpiece defect processing system comprising: a transfer unit having a transfer belt circulating in an endless track through a plurality of support rollers installed to be separated from each other to transfer a workpiece; an inspection unit installed on a moving path of the workpiece to determine whether the workpiece is defective or not; a defect processing unit installed on the rear side of the inspection unit with respect to the movement direction of the workpiece to discard the workpiece determined to be defective by the inspection unit; an encoder provided in the transfer unit to periodically generate a pulse signal according to the movement of the transfer belt to sense the movement of the workpiece; and a control unit for transmitting a discarding operation signal to the defect processing unit or a worker to discard the workpiece when the workpiece determined to be defective by the inspection unit is adjacent to the defect processing unit on the basis of the signal provided from the encoder. The encoder provides, to the control unit, only a first pulse signal generated when the workpiece is supplied to a supply point of the transfer belt provided in front of the inspection unit, and a second pulse signal generated when the workpiece arrives at an arrival point adjacent to the defect processing unit, in order to identify the workpiece among generated pulse signals.
