FIELD: instrument making; navigation.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation instrumentation of aircrafts (AC) and can be applied in an air traffic management system under conditions of reduced vertical separation intervals. At the stage of preliminary assessment of the systematic error of measuring the barometric altitude, based on the data obtained by the ground radio station, the dependence of the differences between the geometric and barometric altitude for all observed aircraft as a function of coordinates and time. Further, for each aircraft in each observation session, the difference between the difference in geometric and barometric altitudes for the observed aircraft and the expected difference determined from the obtained functional dependence is determined. At the decision-making stage, sessions with his participation are selected for each aircraft, and according to the results of statistical processing of preliminary estimates of the error, a systematic component of the error in measuring the barometric altitude is identified. To make a decision on the suitability of an aircraft for flying in RVSM conditions, two thresholds are formed: rejection threshold (threshold assigned by ICAO plus the module of the difference of origin) and threshold of approval (ICAO-designated threshold minus the difference modulus started). Aircraft for which an estimate of the magnitude of the error is less than the approval threshold are considered to be validated. If the value of the error exceeds the rejection threshold, the aircraft is considered not to pass the test. Aircraft, the error estimate of which fell into the interval between the two thresholds, are subject to further observation.;EFFECT: improving the accuracy in the decision-making process based on the monitoring results, due to the uncertainty in the choice of the origin of measuring the geometric height.;1 cl, 2 dwg
