To provide a reader device for a hanger pipe capable of reliably reading a plurality of garment RFID tags hung on the hanger pipe.SOLUTION: A reader device for a hanger pipe is provided with a hanger pipe hanging a plurality of hangers and includes: a removable part hung on the hanger pipe freely removably; a body part connected to the removable part; a dipole antenna for communicating with RFID tags attached to garments hung on the respective hangers; and a reader module which is provided for the body part, is electrically connected to the dipole antenna, and reads information of the RFID tags through the dipole antenna. The dipole antenna is provided in the way that it extends in a surface crossing an extension direction of the hanger pipe when the removable part is hung on the hanger pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
