PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external magnetic filter of an absorption type cold/hot water unit having a simple structure, easy to clean, less labor, excellent in filtration effect and high in work efficiency. An absorption-type cold/hot water unit with an external magnetic filter, which includes a generator, a condenser, an evaporator, an absorber, and a magnetic filter, the magnetic filter being provided outside the absorber, and a pump. A casing 2 and a filter body 3 are provided, which are pipe-connected to the absorber via the body, and an openable/closable cover body 21 is provided on the casing 2. The liquid outlet 22 of the casing 2 is pipe-connected to the inlet of the pump body via the liquid outlet valve 23, the outlet of the pump body is connected to the absorber, and the liquid inlet 24 of the casing 2 is connected via the liquid inlet valve 25. It is connected between the pump body and the absorber and is pipe-connected to the bottom of the absorber.
