To provide an air filling safety device and a tire stand capable of preventing damage to a side gate in tire burst time and increasing a work space by a side gate.SOLUTION: An air filling safety device comprises: a tire stand B; and an explosion proof cover 13 attached to hooks 6, 7 of the tire stand. The tire stand B comprises: an attachment board 2; and a long-sized rotation rod 4 which is coupled to one end part of the attachment board 2 through a hinge 3, so that the rotation rod can rotate from a posture at which the rotation rod overlaps horizontally to the attachment board 2 to a downward right angle posture. The attachment board 2 has a latch 5 for attachment to a side gate 1. The explosion proof cover 13 is formed of a flexible and substantially rectangular sheet material having a size by which the explosion proof cover can cover a tire C when the explosion proof cover is folded, and on four end parts of the explosion proof cover, a plurality of engagement holes 14a, 14b engaging to the hooks 6, 7, or a string member 15, or both thereof are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
