To provide a thick film resistor composition without which does not contain a lead component and has an excellent resistance temperature coefficient and noise characteristic.SOLUTION: The thick film resistor composition does not contain a lead component, and contains ruthenium oxide powder, glass powder, and silica powder. The glass powder contains SiO, BO, and RO (R indicates one or more kinds of alkaline earth elements selected from Ca, Sr, and Ba). When the total of contents of the SiO, the BO, and the RO is set to 100 pts.mass, the SiOis 10 pts.mass or more and 50 pts.mass or less, the BOis 8 pts.mass or more and 30 pts.mass or less, and the RO is 40 pts.mass or more and 65 pts.mass or less. The silica powder is an amorphous silica of which a specific surface is 60 m/g or more and 300 m/g or less. When the total of contents of the ruthenium oxide powder and the glass powder is set to 100 pts.mass, there is provided a thick film resistor composition containing the silica powder in a ratio of 1 pts.mass or more and 12 pts.mass or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
