Systems and methods for allocating inventory between a first level distribution center and multiple second level distribution centers. The method includes: providing, by a computing device, demands, inventory and price data of products in the first level distribution center and the second level distribution centers; defining, by the computing device, an object function having the demands, the inventory and the price data of the products as input; optimizing, by the computing device, the object function to obtain an optimization resu and delivering the products from the first level distribution center to the second level distribution centers based on the optimized result.
