pharmaceutical formulations containing extracts and fractions rich in phenols and flavonoids obtained from different parts of the species tabernaemontana catharinensis a.dc .. refers to pharmaceutical formulations containing extracts and fractions rich in phenols and flavonoids obtained from different parts of the tabernaemontana catharinensis a.dc with anti-inflammatory action, for human and veterinary use. in the form of gel, the treatment will be topical for diseases that present an inflammatory process and in capsules, oral use will be done. other dosage forms can be developed to treat different inflammatory processes. previous study conducted with the extract of the leaves of t. catharinensis, to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect in the model of paw edema induced by carrageenan, showed that the extract was effective in reducing edema, when administered orally, before and after inducing inflammation by a phlogistic agent.
