A laryngeal mask airway device, comprises: an airway tube (5) having a proximal end and a distal end; a laryngeal mask (6) placed at the distal end of the airway tube (5), wherein the distal end of the airway tube (5) opens inside the laryngeal mask (6), wherein the laryngeal mask (6) is configured to seal around a laryngeal inlet of a patient (P); a connector (11) placed at the proximal end or close to the proximal end of the airway tube (5), wherein the connector (11) is in fluid communication with the laryngeal mask (6) through the airway tube (5) and is configured to be connected to a ventilation equipment; a movable element (14) placed in the laryngeal mask (6) and configured to steer a tip (15) of a catheter (3) passing through the airway tube (5) when the catheter (3) protrudes in the laryngeal mask (6). The device further comprises a control element (16) mounted on the proximal end of the airway tube (5) and a motion transmission device (17) operatively connected to the movable element (14) and to the control element (16) to move the movable element (14) and to steer the tip (15) of the catheter (3) by acting on the control element (16).
