Matrix, intended to form at least part of a material transfer separation unit comprising at least two zones including a first zone (2) called indirect heat transfer zone defined by a first fraction of the length of the matrix, at least half of the total width of the die and at least half of the total thickness of the die and a second zone (3, 7, 8,9) called the distillation separation zone defined by a second fraction of the length of the die, at least half of the total width of the die and at least half of the total thickness of the die, the number of passages (24) in the first zone being strictly greater than the number of passages (22 ) in the second zone.
