The design of an Eccles-Jordan two-transistor flip-flop is com-pletely determined if one specifies: the output power, VO2/Rext, re¬quired in each of two symmetrical loads(REXT); the ratio,> K, of the. output voltage to the collector supply voltage (K = VO/VCC); and the minimum β, β/S, of the transistor. An expression Tor the power dissipation in the collector resistors of the flip-flop is derived in terms of the above parameters. It is found that the power dissipation varies inversely with /3/S.
