College Hill. A Demonstration Study of Historic Area Renewal

The demonstration study was designed as an intensive city planning study. The purpose of the project has been to consider the broad range of community problems which beset an old section of a city and to develop proposals for the solutions of the physical, economic and social problems of College Hill, Providence. A primary intent of the study has been to develop methods and techniques for a program of preservation, rehabilitation and renewal in a historic area which can serve as a guide for other areas with similar problems.
