This report summarizes the findings from six field visits to welfare benefit plan administrative organizations which were made by a subcontract for the study. The conclusions regarding the findings and the implications of what was learned are presented in this report. The report discusses how selections were made of the site visits to provide a wide variety of administrative types of organizations. The procedures for each visit that were followed is presented, the subject areas discussed and the manner in which information was obtained, and a summary of what was learned from the visits.
