The Proficiency Rating System set forth in the Department of Medicine and Surgery Supplement MP-5, Part II, Chapter 6, Change 3 is utilized for the evaluation of nurses. Within this project, guidelines for writing proficiencies for junior through senior grades according to Rating Patterns 6, 7 and 9 have been developed. Also, Pattern Elements and Qualification Standards have been correlated into Functional Statements.
