Participant Results from the First Interlaboratory Transfer Experiment with the National Candidate Reference Method for Urea

摘要

The objective of this study was to test the interlaboratory transferability of the American Association of Clinical Chemists Candidate Reference Method for Urea. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provided each participant with all of the reagents, standards, specimens, and most of the glassware required for this study. Participants set up the method, performed one analytical run, and returned the results to CDC with accompanying comments or criticisms of the method. In addition, 12 laboratories performed the method using two different dilution ratios of deproteinized specimen to reagent volume for purposes of comparing interlaboratory precision data.
