The book presents information appropriate for teaching elementary school aged children principles of health and nutrition. The book's 22 chapters each treat individual health related themes, from general information about the human body to more specific information on subjects such as tooth brushing, nutrition and illness. Each chapter has suggested learning activities for specific age groups. Materials for these activities are also suggested, but readers are encouraged to use locally available, appropriate instructional materials. Sample examination questions are listed in an appendix, as well as additional suggested learning activities.
