In the article ‘From the pinhole camera to the shape of a lens: the cameraobscura reloaded’ (Phys. Educ. 50 706), the authors show that a prism array, or an equivalent lens, can be used to bring together multiple camera obscura images from a pinhole array. It should be pointed out that the size of the camera obscura images is conserved by a prism array, but changed by a lens. To avoid this discrepancy in image size, the prism array, or the lens, should be made to touch the pinhole array.
