South Sudan plans to raise oil production from fields shut in by civil war in the country, following the delayed formation this week of a national unity government after an August peace deal. President Salva Kiir swore in Riek Machar as vice-resident after the former rebel leader returned to Juba. The government aims to increase oil output.
