摘要

For the last half-century, acid from a dead Canadian mine has oozed into the Taku River — but authorities won't begin thinking about a solution until this spring. No one is taking responsibility for cleaning up the Tulsequah Chief Mine site. The Taku River is home to all five species of salmon, and almost 2 million return there every year. It's one of the most productive salmon rivers in Southeast Alaska.
