IT makes curious reading that a high power delegation led by Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu has left for Japan as part of state's efforts to bring in Japanese investments. One wonders as to whether there should be more industrial activities in the state at all in the next few years , as there is an average of 20% power cut in the state crippling the industries, which has almost become a permanent feature with no prospects of improvement in the near future. Is there not a need to balance the growth in demand for power with the availability?
