Party-based and Public Euroscepticism: Previous Research, E ne mations and Analytical Frame-works. 'Phis article confronts some general methodological issues involved when ana-lysing `euroscepticism', i.e. opposition to European integration. Reviewing the literature on party-based and public euroscepticism, the article proceeds with a pres-entation and critical examination of conceptual frameworks and models sulggested in previous research on public attitudes towards the I.U. Drawing on e.g. the Euroba-rometer surveys, the strengths and weaknesses of different analytical frameworks are demonstrated. The article concludes with a discussion about measurement issues re-lated to empirical analyses of public opposition to I uropran integration.
