New Cryogen-Free Superconducting Magnet for Kaolin Processing

After proving the separation capabilities, WBB Minerals subsequently purchased and installed an Eriez Power-flux Superconducting Magnet following the launch of a new generation of industrial cryogen free Superconducting magnets. This has opened up new market opportunities for the sale of the kaolin and extended the life of existing pits. Superconducting Magnets have been used for many years from MRI scanners to HGMS (High Gradient Magnetic Separation) systems commonly used in the kaolin industry. In Superconducting technology magnetic fields are more efficiently generated than standard conventional electromagnetic coils thus enabling the separation of very weakly magnetic particles.
