Tianjin to build seamless tube mill

Tianjin Steel Tube Co) China's largest steel oil country tubular goods producer, has started preparations for building a seamless steel tube rolling mill with a designed annual capacity of 350kt. Involving investment of RMB960M (115.94M dollars), the mill is intended to produce steel tubes with diameters ranging from 32 mm to 168 mm, which will be mainly used to produce pipes for natural gas and oil transportation. Tianjin Steel Tube has placed an order with the Germany-based SMS Demag for the new mill.
