摘要

Results are presented of a study on the reproductive performance of male and female S. acupunctatus (main pest of Polianthes tuberosa), under laboratory conditions. The reproductive behaviour of the pest can be divided into three main activities: courtship, copulation and oviposition. The information generated could contribute to the understanding of the behaviour of S. acupunctatus and could be used in the integration of strategies for controlling this pest in the field.
