The stadium was built in 36 months and within budget. The innovative project features the first retractable field ever constructed in the U.S. Weighing in at 18.9 million-lbs., the field is able to move in or out of the stadium in about an hour, allowing for a multipurpose space able to host trade shows, concerts and other events. Another first was the largest roof lift in North America. In just a few days, 120 engineers, steel workers and specialized equipment operators lifted the 11.2 million-lb. retractable roof into place.
